Carondelet Village

Client: Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and Presbyterian Homes & Services

Interior Designer: Dena Erickson, Senior Lifestyle Design-Roseville, MN

Project Details: Carondelet Village was searching for artwork from local artists to enhance the public space at their new senior living facility. An emphasis was placed on artwork related to the Mississippi River because of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet’s special connection to it.

Design Solution: Because of the request to have prints containing images specific to the Mississippi River, we scoured the banks from Minneapolis to Red Wing to find the appropriate scenes for the project.

After completing the shoot, we presented the images to Dena Erickson, interior designer at Senior Lifestyle Design, to be considered for the project.   Of these she selected three images to be used for a tryptic display on canvas.

One of the Mississippi River images was color abstracted to coordinate with the interior finishes of the corridor and then printed on aluminum Dibond.

Several other Minneapolis/St. Paul images were used as well and were printed on canvas and maple veneer.   See examples below:
